JSI Alliance (at the time of this project still operating as Jumbo-SAL-Alliance) were the preferred choice of Carrier for this important coastal movement from Mumbai to Kolkatta and Paradip, from long term client, TOTAL MOVEMENTS PVT LTD. The shipment was booked and professionally coordinated by Sai Maritime, JSI Alliance’ entrusted agent in India over decades.

The performing vessel MV ANNA is one of Type 116 vessels operated by SAL Heavy Lift GmbH & Co. KG, member of the JSI Alliance that includes over 50 self-geared heavy lift vessels in its fleet.

“Rough seas and swell, lengthy conversion procedures and revision in lifting plans were just some of the challenges that we faced during the loading operations, however thanks to the wonderful co-operation and support shared between all parties, the issues were sorted out” says Rukhsana Vohra Mithani, Director of Sai Maritime.

All appreciation goes to the SAL Engineering team who worked closely with TOTAL Movement’s Engineering Team to ensure the 5 Heavy lifts with tonnage ranging from 243 MT – 711 MT were loaded and discharged safely - keeping in mind the minute details that had to be considered and taken care of, to avoid any miscalculations and unforeseen circumstances.

Precise planning by TOTAL’s inland logistics Team greatly assisted in a quick turnaround of the vessel at discharge ports by ensuring that the Barges were alongside the vessel upon arrival to receive this precious cargo.

Ofcourse none of this would be possible without the excellent performance by the vessel’s Master and crew who spared no efforts to ensure yet another successful voyage !
